About this piece

The surface is calm. Underneath, there is weight. That is undertow — and that is exactly what this necklace is.

Two different chains meet in the middle: a round cable chain threaded with three baroque freshwater pearls on one side, a bold paperclip chain on the other. The toggle clasp sits at the front where it belongs, unhidden, doing its job as part of the design. Two pendants hang from it — a coin medallion and a black enamel star — worn together because neither one is quite enough alone.

This is the most editorial piece in the Laidback collection. Not the simplest, not the quietest. The one you reach for when you want your jewellery to say something without you having to say a word.

Style it with: A plain white tee, a leather jacket left open, a black slip dress. Anything that gives the necklace space to be the thing people notice.

Care: Stainless steel is water-resistant and tarnish-resistant — more durable than plated metals. Wipe with a dry cloth after wearing. Avoid prolonged exposure to chemicals and perfume to preserve the enamel.
